From Blogs to Riches

Here's a REAL Malaysian example that's hotter than your sambal belacan-Gobala Krishnan! His story was featured in the local press, The Star about a month ago. This guy tried to make money from the internet when he was in college. His blogging journey started of as a hobby where he has a passion for electric guitars and with a zest of luck, he earned his first US dollars paycheck by affliate marketing.

After graduation, he was stuck with a job that he hated and finally decided to quit after three and a half years and become a full time blogger and the best part is that he makes a lot of money from it through affliate marketing, adsense, writing his own e-books/e-zines and to even creating his own club.

Google Adsense ~ It Really Works!

I'm sure many of you have heard of people making money online by placing advertisements in blogs and websites. But how many of you REALLY believed that it's possible to make money online?

During lunch one day, I told one of my close friend (Ms. J) that I want to start making money online. She skeptically said, "Give it up. Those are just some illegal scam and none of those internet marketing millionaires are real."

Frankly, I was shocked! For gods sake, what century do we live in? She's telling me that those massive tones of testimony out there about people working from home to support their families, people earning US dollars in their pajamas and people buying and selling stuff on virtual stores are all fake!? How shallow is that! I bet she doesn't even know that some people pay money or more accurately or literally known as "donations" to the creator of Bit Torrent (a software that she used on a daily basis to download her Korean drama series).

Deep down, I really have the urge to prove her wrong. So I did what I've decided - to prove how wrong Ms. J is - and started to look around for more details. Later, I signed up for a Google Adsense account and place some ads onto my personal blog which is already a few years old. To my surprise, I earned some money within the first 7 days!

Although the amount is minimal but it does prove Ms. J wrong. How much am I earning from Adsense now? It’s a secret. That’s a story to be told another time or rather, in another post. To many of you non-believers out there, do try it out. It’s the best way to find out for yourself. After all, earning is believing!
